Maureen Greene James recently joined Meta as a Diversity Business Partner for Reality Labs, the group which builds the future of connection within virtual and augmented reality. In this role, Maureen will be responsible for developing strategies to support the advancement of internal talent while continuing to build an inclusive workplace. Prior to Meta, Maureen served as the Vice President of Global Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging with FTI Consulting where she led the firm’s efforts to attract, retain and develop diverse talent and maintain an inclusive culture. As founder of MGJ Speaks!, Maureen is a highly sought after career coach and keynote speaker.
Prior to FTI Consulting, Maureen was the North America Leader of Inclusion and Leadership Development, partnering with business leaders on the delivery and implementation of development experiences for senior-level talent, with a key focus on gender diversity. During her tenure at Cognizant, the company earned first-time recognition on Forbes lists of “Best Employers for Women” and “America’s Best Employers for Diversity”.
Maureen has spent her career in various people and inclusion leadership roles with American International Group, Washington Mutual (now JPMorgan Chase), PwC, and Cognizant. She has been featured on numerous podcasts, including R.O.G Return On Generosity, Fairygodboss Radio and most recently, Tential’s Women in Tech Fireside Chat.
Maureen has been recognized for her professional accomplishments in Black Enterprise magazine and is the recipient of the “Most Powerful and Influential Woman” Award for the state of Florida by the National Diversity Council.
While adamantly proclaiming to remain a New Yorker for life, Maureen resides in the Tampa Bay area. She is an avid lover of fabulous shoes who enjoys family time, fitness, traveling, writing, reading, quote-collecting, a good laugh and any vacation that includes warm weather and a beach.
